NICK DUCASSI

Nick Ducassi is a Cuban-American actor, writer and filmmaker. An honors graduate of Carnegie Mellon’s storied BFA Acting program, he’s acted professionally for over two decades in film, television, commercials and more in Los Angeles, New York, Miami and Pittsburgh.

As a filmmaker, he showran Netflix’s hit digital comedy series Go Off with Jess & Julissa as well as the beloved pandemic-era sketch series Guac Bottom, a collaboration between L.A. Taco and LA’s premiere satirical site The Avocado. He also serves as creative director for Miami’s infamous satirical outlet, The Plantain.

Most recently, he wrapped a three-year stint as an entertainment journalist and on-camera reporter for the Los Angeles Times. There he interviewed countless artists at the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Sundance and beyond, and hosted the viral interview series “Very Important Questions.” A few favorite interviews include: Saoirse Ronan, Oscar, Bert and Grover from “Sesame Street,” Kate Winslet, Ben Affleck, Zoe Saldaña (in Spanish!), Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal, Kevin Bacon, Colman Domingo, Adrien Brody, Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Henry Winkler and Method Man. He and his writing partner/wife Adriana Ducassi recently graduated from the illustrious Showrunners’ Mentorship Matters program, where they developed a new pilot alongside Richard Keith and Erin Cardillo (Netflix’s “Virgin River”).

He resides in LA with his wife and creative partner Adriana Ducassi, their dog-son Marlo, and an excessive number of plants.
