ABOUT US

Hi! We are Adri & Nick Ducassi, a married writing/directing/producing team with over a decade of experience creating fun, funny and smart films, scripts and digital content in both English and Spanish for Netflix, The Los Angeles Times, HBO and many, many more.

Molded by our upbringings as first-generation Americans (Adri is Mexican-Italian and Nick is Cuban) we’ve honed a voice that is as bold, bright, warm-hearted and fast-paced as our bilingualisms. Recently, we showran both seasons of Netflix’s hit sketch comedy show Go Off with Jess and Julissa, which garnered over 250 million views across Netflix’s social and digital platforms. We also serve as creative directors for the satirical outlet The Plantain as well as The Avocado, for which we created the beloved pandemic-era digital sketch series Guac Bottom, in partnership with L.A. Taco. Currently, we are thrilled to be part of the showrunners’ Mentorship Matters initiative as writing fellows for the 2025 class, under the tutelage of Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith (Netflix’s Virgin River).

Individually, Adri is a director, writer and actor. Her film The Eternity of Grief world premiered at Palm Springs ShortFest 2025 as a Best Comedy Nominee. As an actor, her favorite roles include work on Snowfall, NCIS, Law & Order SVU and Grey’s Anatomy. She is an honors graduate of NYU’s film and drama programs through Tisch’s Kanbar Institute of Film and TV and the Atlantic Theater Company.

Nick is an award-winning creative director, writer and producer. He recently wrapped a three-year stint at The Los Angeles Times, where he wrote, produced and hosted multiple video series and interviewed countless Oscar, Emmy and Grammy-winning artists, including Kate Winslet, Adrien Brody, Zoe Saldaña and Oscar, Bert and Grover from Sesame Street! Nick is an honors graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama.

Based in Los Angeles, CA.
